We spent the quietest night yet in Loch Drumbuie. I think we could have managed with the anchor just touching the bottom as there was hardly any wind and no swell.

We still had not run out of water but it must have been getting really low, so we went to Tobermory as planned – a few miles of gentle sailing, helped by the fact that there is a new S Cardinal mark to help boats keep away from Little Stirk, which was clearly visible but is often covered by the tide.
We decided on the luxury of the pontoons, filled with water, connected to shore power and had lunch. The pontoon was busy with a stream of tenders coming and going to the cruise ship Marco Polo which was anchored in the bay. After shopping we took a short walk and had tea and the afternoon seemed to have gone – I think we must be tired after all the excitement of the wedding.

Met Bob and Joyce from Pink Cloud (normally kept on the Orwell). They are making a quick round-Britain trip and are moving much faster than us in their huge yacht, but making some visits back home to keep the business running.
