| Passing Flamborough Head |
Our neighbour in a Newbridge Coromandel(?) left at 5am. The boat is a Corribee with junk rig. We went after an early breakfast and managed to sail for a while, helped by a useful tide round Flamborough Head. We saw many more seabirds in this area than before including Gannets, Puffins, Razorbills, Guillemots. After a while we had to start motoring and continued motoring for ages. About Robin Hood’s Bay we started sailing again, very slowly, to make sure we did not arrive too early.
I think the battery may not be charging properly – almost as if the Adverc unit was working like a normal regulator. Unfortunately I have left the documentation at home and cannot reach any on line as there’s no 3G signal here. Try again at the next place.
Did not have time to explore Whitby, but had good “eat in” fish and chips at Mr Chips, then back to the boat with some food shopping.
247 miles done. 387 miles to go
